Comment on a draft guideline

Consultation of our guidelines in draft form is an important step in our process.

Consultation is open to all and provides an opportunity for health care professionals, patients, health service managers, and other interested groups to comment on the draft recommendations and to influence the final form of the guideline.

Comments received during consultation are compiled in a report and discussed by the guideline development group. Each point must be addressed and any changes to the guideline as a result noted or, if no change is made, the reasons for this recorded.

The consultation report is made available on the SIGN website when the guideline is published.

The draft SIGN guideline on management of stable angina is now available for consultation.

The draft guideline is based on SIGN 96 Management of stable angina published in 2007 and presents new and updated information and recommendations relating to the diagnosis, pharmacological and surgical treatment, and psychological health and interventions for people with stable angina. The guideline also includes updated information about medical and surgical interventions for people with stable angina undergoing non-cardiac surgery.
